Goal and Theme
The course attempts to provide a unified overview of the broad field of advanced data communications and computer networks as well as the next generation of the Internet.
授業の到達目標
Students are expected to understand the latest network technologies including wireless WAN, LAN and PAN, ad hoc and sensor networks, and the next generation of the Internet, as well as the state of the art in advanced computing such as P2P computing, grid computing, cloud computing, ubiquitous/pervasive computing, autonomic computing, trusted computing, cyber-physical computing, social computing, big data, etc.
Abstract
The course covers new paradigms of representative networks, communications, and related computing technologies. The course starts from a general introduction on the current trend of networking, and then detailed discussions of a variety of networks and communications, to the newest computing technologies. Every student is required to choose one related topics to investigate, write a report and finally present it in the class.
